School Supplies That You Should Have At Home

When parents shop for school supplies they often buy what is on the list that the teacher or school has provided for you.  Yes, it is true that is what your child will need at school for that class or particular teacher.  However, what about home?  You may think that all you are going to need will be paper and pencils.  Wrong, you will need everything your child has at school and a few things more.

If you have multiple children who are each in a different grade level, it will benefit you to have a little bit of everything in your homework supplies.  A basic list might include the following:  pencils, erasers, pens, pencil sharpener, notebook paper, scissors, crayons, glue and markers.  This is a good starting list that most parents already have at home.  How many times have you needed an object that you just did not have?

This is a more detailed list that you could add to your already basic list to benefit your needs.  Tape, ruler, a hole punch, calculator, stapler, index cards, highlighters, construction paper, rubber bands and colored pencils end the detailed list of school supplies.  Depending on what your child’s needs are, the list could include more or less.  Grade levels sometime require different supplies but almost every child will need these supplies.  You do not need to buy all these things on this list at one time.  They can be bought all through the school year.  Your child will get the benefit of having these items at home and within reach for schoolwork.
