Education system has gone through a lot of changes and has evolved a lot over the years. Earlier education was imparted to children in order to pass on the moral values and skills required by them to earn their livelihood and live in the social set up of that place. At that time, the education was non- formal in nature. Later on, some changes took place and some schools were set up in order to teach children the three R’s that are reading, writing and arithmetic and students started learning under the guidance of their teacher.
As time passed, many more changes took place in the education system keeping the need of the society in mind. A time came when education became very formal when students started learning a number of subjects in schools such as science, history, languages and the likes. This kind of education still exists however due to globalization and discoveries in science, the things are changing rapidly. Though students are still learning these subjects but the methodology of teaching and the aims of education have been modified to meet the needs of the present society.
In addition to these changes, now, education has taken a new form altogether. It is no more restricted only to the four walls of the school and college. Students are using online facilities more and more in order to learn and this has brought a major change in the system. In addition to academics, some more modifications have also taken place and many more activities have been introduced to ensure all round development of children so that they can face the new challenges of life.
